Malta asks for Grand Chamber hearing after court backs Ecstasy drug trafficker’s human rights challenge

The Maltese authorities will find out next Tuesday (May 28) if the European Court of Human Rights agrees to refer to its Grand Chamber the case of Camilleri v. Malta.

At its next meeting (Monday 27 May 2013), a panel of five judges will examine the referral request submitted by the applicant in the case Eweida and Others v. the United Kingdom. The decision of the panel will be made public on Tuesday 28 May.
