Helsinki hosts international social rights conference

Representatives of Council of Europe member states, the European Commission, international organisations, trade unions, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and international experts in social and economic rights will attend the seminar.

Anti-torture committee visits Albania

The Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CPT) spent three days in the country. The main aim of the visit, which began on 30 January, was to examine the treatment of detainees following the disturbances which occurred on 21 January in Tirana.
