“The project is not for young people but it is with young people,” says Alberto. “The idea is to collaborate to resolve a problem about the European social contract, where one person out of five doesn’t work or study and is without training.”
Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland visited Tunisia to offer the Council of Europe’s practical cooperation. That offer has since been followed-up with support from the Parliamentary Assembly, the Venice Commission, the Pompidou Group and the North-South Centre.
The Parliamentary Assembly President said: “Our response should be a truly intercultural approach, which allows culturally different groups within society to interact.”
The project brings together the member states in the ‘Black Sea Area’ (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine) experts and the European Committee on Organ Transplantation (CD-P-TO).
