Assembly MP George Foulkes is to lead an inquiry into the murder of Maltese journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.
“I’m proud to have been appointed by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) as General Rapporteur on Media Freedom & the protection of journalists,” Foulkes announced on 24 january on the Twitter platform.
“My first inquiry is into the murder of Maltese journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.”
Galizia, was murdered in a car bomb in October 2017. Her three sons met with the assembly’s president Michele Nicoletti and were present last week at an ssemblya side event, which examined the assassination.
