In this podcast, Professor Paola Profeta explains why women, now better and more educated than men across Europe, cannot accept a “gradualist approach” to gender inclusion.
“The gender gap has been reverserd in education,” says the Bocconi University (Milan) associate professor. “This is not enough. There are a lot of estimates that say it will take again 50 years or even more, to have more equality on the labour market. It will take too too long. We need some help from policy.”
Professor Paola Profeta was a keynote speaker at a 23 January Parliamentary Assembly hearing on the role of gender equality and family policies in “breaking the glass ceiling.”
