In conversation: ‘The power of love’ – Why Greek activists help refugees

In this podcast, three Greek activists from the Raoul Wallenberg prize-winning Agkalia association, discuss the reasons why they feel compelled to help the refugees and migrants who come to their island of Lesvos.

In recent months, the association has come to the aid of some 17,000 refugees and migrants on the island, as well as working with local people in need.

Aikaterini (l) George (c) and Eleni, the key representatives of Agkalia, also offer their frank assessments of the argument that their work encourages more migrants to come to the island, which has a total population of 100,000 people.
