Denmark: Experts urge progress on party funding anti-corruption measures

Anti-corruption experts want Denmark to move faster on complying with international standards on the transparency of party funding.

A new report published today by the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO), reveals its dissatisfaction with the response of state authorities to nine recommendations on strengthening the transparency of political financing.

“GRECO concludes that the current level of compliance with the recommendations remains globally unsatisfactory and that discernible progress is still to be achieved.

“GRECO requests the authorities of Denmark to receive a high-level mission in order to discuss on the spot with all stakeholders concerned ways to expedite the legislative and policy changes highlighted by this report.”
