Podcast: “My grandfather fought for the Nazis, my great-grandfather died in Auschwitz!”

In this podcast, Manon Cavagna reveals her amazement at discovering that her grandfather fought for the German army in World War Two, whilst a great-grandfather died in Auschwitz.

Cavagna, took part in a seminar yesterday at the European Youth Centre in Strasbourg, devoted to remembrance and learning from World War Two.

She is joined in this podcast by Anca Iorgulescu from Romania and Aleksandr Bolotnov and Maria Gileva, both from Russia, who discuss the impact of the ‘Great Patriotic War.’
