Belgium: European court reform conference

Justice ministers from across Europe are gathering in Brussels this morning for a two-day conference on reforms to the European Court.

The event, organised as part of Belgium’s chairmanship of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers, will focus on how the implementation of Strasbourg court judgments can be improved.

Figures published earlier this week showed that close to 11,000 judgments have yet to be put into practice.
