In this podcast, Lilia Kolombet discusses the organisation’s backing for a project promoting migrant entrepreneurship.
“We are trying to help cities to improve their policies and strategies to allow a better participation of migrants in their overall economic growth at local level,” says the project manager (photo), describing the off-shoot of the Intercultural Cities programme.
It is not about “direct support to the entrepreneurs,” Kolombet adds. “One of the overall objectives of the project is to create partnerships that will produce good practice.
“We would like cities to establish real platforms for the dialogue between local administrations and the private sector. This is a precondition for the further development of better policies and strategies to allow the flourishing of migrant businesses.”
