In this podcast, two cultural leaders offer their views on how to make human rights subject material attractive to a wider public.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina photographer Amer Kapetanović, who organised the 2011 UN campaign “16 Days of Activism to End Violence Against Women” joined the Austrian Zora Bachmann, director of the human rights film festival ‘This Human World,’ in Strasbourg for the Parliamentary Assembly hearing entitled ‘Women, Violence and Art.’ The event was organised by the Parliamentary Network ‘Women Free from Violence.’
Both stressed the importance of being creative and the value of mobilising the young, encouraging people to think and avoiding giving answers, in building an audience for human rights themes.
