Podcast: Tackling police racism

In the first of a two-part podcast series, Deborah Glass confronts the issue of how to defeat racism within the police force.

The Deputy Chair of the United Kingdom’s Independent Police Complaints Commission (photo) believes the country’s experience can help other Council of Europe member states but in light of last year’s London riots recognises that there is progress still to make.

Ms Glass was in Strasbourg on 3 October to take part in Parliamentary Assembly hearing alongside Julien Le Gars, Deputy Director for public liberties, Ministry of the Interior (France), Chantal Pons-Masouaki, Deputy Secretary General of the Trade Union for public security officers (France) and Lanna Hollo, from the Open Society Justice Initiative.
