A Parliamentary Assembly hearing on coercive sterilisations and castrations is due to take evidence from Bernadette Gächter, a Swiss victim of a forced sterilisation, on 16 September.
The Paris hearing, organised by the Committee on Social, Health and Family Affairs, will focus in particular on coercive sterilisations of Romani women, convicted sex offenders and transgender persons.
Experts from the Czech Republic, Sweden and the United Kingdom are expected to take part.
