A Parliamentary Assembly delegation is in Rabat, Morocco, to assess the country’s application to become a ‘partner for democracy.’
Talks have been scheduled with the Speaker of the House of Councillors, the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the chairmen of political groups, as well as with parliamentarians in charge of relations with the Council of Europe.
The delegation, headed by Luca Volontè, will also meet representatives of the Ministries of Interior, Justice, and Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. During the three day visit, which ends on 3 March, meetings will also take place with the President of the Advisory Council for Human Rights, the President of the High Authority of Audiovisual Communication and representatives of civil society.
