Some 20 young leaders from Cyprus’ Greek and Turkish communities gather in Strasbourg on 10 and 11 January for a meeting of the European Forum Cyprus (EFC).
This joint project between the Council of Europe and the European Commission, brings together four times a year participants from business, politics and the non-governmental organisation sectors in the island.
They discuss issues of common concern in a bid to promote mutual trust between Cyprus’ two main communities
The Strasbourg meeting will focus on discrimination, human trafficking and education and health rights.
Thirty-five forum alumni will hold separate meetings on ‘The Future of the European Project’ in Athens on 14 and 15 January.
