Details of the Council of Europe’s 2011 zero-increase budget totaling €217 million are now available online.
The Council of Europe announced its commitment to reducing expenditure, cutting costs and redeploying resources to priority sectors when this year’s financial programe was adopted last November.
It is estimated that Europe’s 800 million citizens pay less than 28 cents each per year for services provided by the intergovernmental human rights organisation.
